In Q2 2024, the fast food and fast casual restaurant app sector displayed varied user engagement trends across the global market. Sensor Tower provides detailed insights into the performance of these apps.
McDonald’s Non-US app, published by McDonald's Global Markets LLC, showed an interesting trend with downloads fluctuating between 6K and 7K throughout the quarter, peaking at 7K in the week of April 22. Despite revenue figures remaining at zero, the app's weekly active users saw a significant rise from 85K to 113K before slightly dropping to 94K towards the end of June.
The BURGER KING® Magyarország app, from Expremio Marketing SRL, also had its revenue at zero, but downloads remained stable around the 5K mark, with a slight peak at 6K in mid-April. Weekly active users started at 47K and reached a high of 51K in mid-April, maintaining a relatively stable user base through the quarter.
KFC Magyarország, managed by AmRest Kft., saw its downloads begin at 5K, dipping to 4K, and then climbing back up to 5K by the end of June. Weekly active users hovered around the 44K to 45K range, indicating a consistent level of engagement throughout the quarter.
Domino’s Pizza®, from Alamar Foods, had a noticeably smaller user base. Downloads started at just over 100 and saw a spike to 240 in early June, while weekly active users ranged from 109 to 198, showing some growth in user engagement.
Lastly, the Pizza Hut UAE- Order Food Now app, by Kuwait Food Co. (Americana), had a modest presence with downloads starting at 129, dropping to 85, and jumping to 172 in early June. However, weekly active users were negligible, with figures available only for the beginning and end of the quarter, showing a drop to zero active users in early June before a return to 10 active users later in the month.
